BLK Diamond is a prolific rap artist that lives up to his
reputation of being versatile, business-minded, and energetic with
a love for entertaining. BLK Diamond has been compared to artist
like Tupac Shakur because of his strong lyrical delivery,
charasmatic personality and out of the box thinking. Personally, he
doesn't compare himelf to one particuluar artist "he feels every
artist has his/her own story to tell and has love for artist
worldwide". BLK Diamond is also known for his unique creativity as
an artist, but it doesn't stop with his music, it can also be
noticed in his business strategies. In 2005, one of his creative,
and strategic business ventures was establishing and becoming the
CEO of his own coproration, known as BLK LYFE, INC., Corporate
Business for a Better Living Konditions. When BLK Diamond
established his own Corporation he new he had to choose a name that
could be branded and would "exempilify that as a leader with a
strong team of multi-talented artist, he must do more than
influence the communities through his music". He also knew that
elevating to a level of being a household name would require him to
think beyond himself as an artist, thus he set out to build a team
of diverse talents that could also utilize BLK LYFE, INC. towards
the growth and development of their personal projects, "to be in
the position to eat Independently, while simultaneously
representing BLK LYFE, INC." Thus, you may see featured artist on
BLK LYFE, INC., in movies, in graphic designs, in modeling
magazines, and the CEO's of their own Corporations. BLK Diamond
feels as his contribution to the WestCoast Movement, "he needs to
open doors that will allow his camp to not just depend on the
sucess of one individual for everyone to eat, like it was during
the time of Biggie and Tupac during 1990-1996. Unlike WestCoast
Artist today that he feels has focused more on themselves, which
has limited the WestCoast Hip-Hop movement". BLK Diamond knows he
is taking on a lot balancing his role as a CEO and Artist, but
"feels the music industry has forced him in this position, inorder
to maintain his reputation and see the outcome of his dedication to
the music industry". Like most rap artist in the music industry BLK
Diamond has spoken through his music about his experiences as a
young black man growing up in the inner city. He has rapped about
gang rivalry, sex, hustling, the criminal justice system, and
relationships with a hardcore delivery. However, as he continued to
work on mastering his craft as rap artist he also began to evolve
as a business man. His growth can be illustrated in the more
conscious lyrics that can be heared in his music today. As a rap
artist his "focus in his lyrics has changed to concepts that he
intends will bring the spirit back to the community, so that others
can learn how to build their own financial structure, he also plans
to open doors and establish jobs for those in his community that
patronize his music". BLK Diamond feels the music should spread to
the world, but the money earned needs to be invested more back at
home (WestCoast)". He wants to generate messages like Russell
Simmons, PDiddy, Jay-Z and 50 Cent on uplifting, change, and
entreprenueship to establish the financial backing to release
quality music to push the label, instead of borrowing from the
streets and making wise investments that will have longevity beyond
the rap game, such as positive marketing, and strategic business
planning". The spirit of change in his direction as an artist began
after dealing with the politics and bureacracy in the music
industry that put up obstacles that forced him to stay focused and
to identify ways to have more control over his marketing,
promotions and distribution. BLK Diamond was born and raised in Los
Angeles-Carson, CA. As a young balck male growing up, he excelled,
flourished and was recognized by others to be the best at anything
he puts his mind to. His unique persona could be noticed in being a
"ShutDownCorner/ReturnSpecialist", playing football at
L.A.'s-Carson & Banning H.S., with his Quick 4.3 sec.- 40 yard
dash, his popularity for clowning around and bagging on folks, or
during times of fist fighting for street survival, or just a daily
neighborhood or lunch table freestyle session. No matter what it
was, he was noiced for always striving to be the best. In 1995, at
16 years of age, BLK Diamond took his strong family values,
intellect, confidence, ambition, popularity and worked hard at
learning and developing as a professional Hip-Hop Artist. At an
early age he was poised, focused, and determined to Shine, as a
Hip-Hop Star. BLK Diamonds hardwork took notice when he was signed
to DeathRow Recs., through his connection with Mega-Producer Meech
"Damari ShaKi" who produced for Adina Howard, Craig Mack,
BobbyBrown & Tupac Shakur's "Toss It Up", which featured K.C.,
JoJo, DannyBoy, Arron Hall and BLK Diamond on the Adlibs for 2Pac.
In 1998, he thought his hardwork and dedication was about to take
him in the direction he intended when he signed with Shaun Williams
of the N.Y. Giants/C.E.O. of Royalty Records. While on Royalty
Records, BLK Diamond worked with various Industry producers and
recorded over 200 songs; which were some of his first Hip-Hop
Classic Hits. In 1999 BLK teamed up with his cousin, PLaTiNuM 007
and they formed "Royalty Kings". Some have described the
collaboration as The Newest Rawest WestCoast Duo, since Tha Dog
Pound, or as some folks say, the West Coast "Outcast". This Dynamic
Duo recorded over 100 Songs on Royalty Records. In 2000, BLK
Diamond hired RoQ GiBRALtar as General Manager of Royalty Records
and began to Mash through the Industry using lessons from Kashief's
"Everything You Need To Know About The Record Industry." The New
Royalty team recorded some major classic hits like, "Whispers"
"Bounce Rock" Featuring CriStyLE, "Diamonds In It" &
"Seduction" Feat: DannyBoy & "Hell Yeah" Feat: Ju-L Peyton
& "L.A." Featuring Talia Sapphire & BiG.G, as well as
Underground Classic Collaborations like "Danger Zone", "War" &

the business operations and recordings came to an unexpected end in
the spring of 2002, due to The C.E.O. Shaun.Williams's NFL
Priorities. However, in the Summer of 2002, BLK Diamond with the
help of his comrads RoQ GiBRALtar, and PLatiNum continued to mash,
by recording and touring around the WestCoast. During this time,
BLK Diamond began to network and link up with various industry

Diamond& PLAT their first major hit "Diamonds In It" Feat:

first solo project, "Neva Saw Me Comin" Album. While writing,
recording and performing as solo artist and as a duo, BLK Diamond

& DvDs, to maximize his visability. By 2004, the visibility
lead to numerous compilations and soundtracks such as
DigitalUnderground's "Sex & The Studio" Part2. BLK Diamond
